Success Story: Electrolux

Introduction

Electrolux is a multinational home appliance manufacturer based in Sweden. They embarked on a global HR transformation initiative  implementing Cornerstone OnDemand to underpin their digital strategy. Electrolux rolled out five Cornerstone modules: Recruitment, Learning, Performance, Succession and Compensation to 20,000 global employees.

Project implementation

Electrolux quickly realised that this global HCM transformation to Cornerstone OnDemand needed to consider more than just learning how to use the new software; changes in employee culture and process ownership needed to be contemplated. Employees needed to recognize why they were completing new processes as well as how, which would involve a significant shift in behaviors. Delivering traditional classroom training would be impractical and ineffective at enabling this large scale business change.

The solution

Working with Cornerstone OnDemand, ADOPT for Cornerstone was introduced to Electrolux to manage and measure their user adoption,  onboarding processes and ongoing training efforts effectively. Using a suite of ADOPT for Cornerstone modules, Electrolux were able to deliver a personalized and on-demand support experience to every employee.

Delivered inside Cornerstone OnDemand, communication was  relevant and appealing. Engagement interactions were captured through ADOPT for Cornerstone’s Core Analytics module to proactively identify user adoption pain points and support needs, providing Electrolux with the opportunity to continually improve their users’ experience.

Business impact

In the initial two months of launching ADOPT for Cornerstone, Electrolux saw 85% of their Cornerstone users interact with engagement  communication and on-demand training within the system. Training content was viewed over 6,000 times across 32 countries.

In-application communication delivered powerful and clear messaging with initial communication viewed more than 11,600 times. This instant  distribution of training content to Electrolux’s user population meant that users were able to access help when they needed it without halting task completion. For Electrolux this has streamlined processes within Performance, Recruitment and Succession resulting in faster process completion and increased employee engagement. Users understand how and why they are completing tasks improving employee culture and attentiveness.

Looking forward

Through Core Analytics, ADOPT for Cornerstone has provided Electrolux with a mechanism to continually identify areas of Cornerstone OnDemand where users need increased support. Moving forward they will be able to continue to effectively communicate with users in-application preparing them for annual processes as well as ensuring users are equipped for Cornerstone OnDemand updates.
