Who trains the trainer?

I’m just one individual, but imagine a scenario where hundreds or even thousands of individuals need training at the same time. Traditionally, a few people will get initial instruction, and then they will each train a few more. Eventually, the training filters down to everyone. I’m willing to bet that somewhere, in that great training pyramid, mistakes are made and things are forgotten. Instead of one person who doesn’t know that you have to click in that box to update a record, hundreds of people don’t. Instead of full understanding, you get partial implementation and multiple versions of the truth.

By using embedded training content, the problem is eliminated. No mistakes, no omissions and one version of the truth. Furthermore, training timescales can be shortened and new starters easily accommodated.
