Accessibility statement for AppLearn Adopt


Overview

AppLearn is committed to providing an accessible and user-friendly experience for all users, including those with disabilities.


Our Adopt Digital Adoption Platform has been designed and developed in accordance with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 AA standard. This includes ensuring compatibility with assistive technologies and implementing features such as alternative text descriptions, keyboard navigation, and clear and concise language.


AppLearn has been independently audited by a market leading web accessibility partner who use manual usability testing tasks and utilize assistive technology desktop tools. All testing tasks are completed by persons with disabilities. Categories of disabilities that are involved with manual usability testing include visual impairments and/or motor impairments.


Use cases

Accessibility is built in to the fabric of the AppLearn Adopt solution and does not need to be activated. By default, you can:


  • Use a range of keyboard shortcuts to navigate around the Adopt end user interface
  • Use popular screen readers to navigate around the Adopt end user interface
  • Use alternative text for images
  • Upload and display closed captions on your embedded videos


Conformance status

The Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) defines requirements for designers and developers to improve accessibility for people with disabilities. It defines three levels of conformance: Level A, Level AA, and Level AAA. AppLearn Adopt is fully conformant with WCAG 2.1 level AA. Fully conformant means that the content fully conforms to the accessibility standard without any exceptions.


Compatibility with browsers and assistive technology

AppLearn Adopt is designed to be compatible with the following assistive technologies:


  • The technology is supported natively in widely-distributed user agents that are also accessibility supported (such as HTML and CSS)
  • The technology is supported in a widely-distributed plug-in that is also accessibility supported;
